Robert Moreno to announce South Korea football squad

Robert Moreno, the newly appointed interim head coach of the South Korea men's national football team, is scheduled to arrive in South Korea this Sunday. Following his arrival at Incheon International Airport, Moreno will hold a press conference in Cheonan on Monday to announce his first squad.

Moreno, a former coach for the Spanish men's national team, was hired by the Korea Football Association (KFA) on September 1 to manage the team through a series of international friendlies. The upcoming schedule includes matches against Ecuador on September 24, Uruguay on September 28, Venezuela on October 2, and Uzbekistan on October 6. The KFA is also working to schedule additional matches for the November FIFA window.

To prepare for these fixtures, Moreno and his staff have developed an extensive roster database that includes four-deep positional depth for every role, incorporating both global talent and domestic K League players. Moreno’s interim term runs through November 27, though the KFA indicated he may remain in the position through the Asian Cup depending on the team's performance.
