Robert Pattinson calls Transformers the definitive movie of the 2000s

During an appearance on the YouTube program ‘The List’, presented by A24 and Letterboxd, actor Robert Pattinson named Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers’ as ‘the definitive movie of the 2000s’. Pattinson noted that the film represented a peak in color grading styles characterized by bright, saturated, and glossy tones that have not been replicated since.

Pattinson and host Lance Oppenheim were promoting the psychological thriller ‘Primetime’, in which Pattinson portrays Chris Hansen. The film earned $19.2 million during its opening weekend across 2,863 theaters, making it the third-highest opening in the A24 library, following ‘Backrooms’ and ‘Civil War’.

In the same interview, Pattinson expressed admiration for the action sequences in ‘Scarface’ and cited the ‘you’ll never take our freedom’ speech from ‘Braveheart’ as one of his favorite cinematic moments. Pattinson is currently filming ‘The Batman Part 2’.
