Robert Platek denies plans to sell Cracovia football club
Robert Platek, the majority shareholder of the Polish football club Cracovia, has issued a formal statement denying rumors that he intends to sell his stake in the team. Platek stated he is fully committed to the club’s long-term future and has never engaged in discussions regarding a sale.
Cracovia also released a statement to clarify financial matters. The club addressed claims regarding unpaid installments to Comarch, asserting that the full price for the 80% stake acquired in August 2025 has been paid and no further payments are due.
The club further clarified details regarding the transfer of Oskar Wójcik to Werder Bremen. Cracovia denied claims that transfer funds were paid to Platek or returned to the club as a loan, noting that the initial guaranteed amount is significantly higher than the rumored 3 million euros and includes performance-based bonuses.
