Robert Prosinečki leaves Kyrgyzstan national team head coach role
The Kyrgyzstan Football Union has announced a mutual agreement to terminate the contract of head coach Robert Prosinečki. The 57-year-old Croatian specialist had been in the role since December 10 of last year, with an original contract intended to run until early 2027.
Reports indicate the separation was not solely due to sporting results, though Prosinečki did not record a victory during his eight-month tenure. He managed four friendly matches, resulting in two losses and two draws. According to Eurasia Football, the split occurred after the Kyrgyzstan Football Union sought to modify specific terms and conditions within the existing contract, a move Prosinečki reportedly declined.
The Football Union expressed gratitude for his professionalism and contributions to the development of the national team, wishing him success in his future coaching career.
