Robert Roode remains with WWE as producer despite alumni status change

Robert Roode remains under contract with WWE, serving as a backstage producer despite his profile being moved to the company’s alumni section on its website. The change in status initially caused speculation among fans that the Canadian wrestler had left the promotion, as the alumni category is typically reserved for former employees.

Reports from Fightful Select clarify that Roode is still part of the production team. This administrative shift is not unique to Roode; other active producers, such as Titus O’Neil, Jason Jordan, and Jamie Noble, have also appeared in the alumni section.

Roode has not competed in the ring since June 2022 due to neck injuries that required two spinal fusion surgeries. Although he has received medical clearance to return to wrestling, he has expressed a preference for his current role as a producer, noting his desire to focus on behind-the-scenes work rather than risking his health at nearly 50 years old.
