Prominent South African racing driver Robert Wolk was shot and killed on the evening of September 16, 2026, following an alleged road-rage incident in Kempton Park.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Camwood Street and Portland Drive in Esther Park. Reports indicate that Wolk was involved in a minor collision with a Volkswagen Jetta while traveling toward OR Tambo International Airport to catch a flight for a race in Cape Town. Following the collision, a confrontation ensued. Video footage circulating on social media appears to show Wolk being shot in the back as he attempted to walk away from the argument.
