Roberta Bruzzone asserts Garlasco murder suspect already identified

Criminologist Roberta Bruzzone gave an interview to Corriere della Sera, reiterating that she believes Alberto Stasi is the perpetrator of the 2007 murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco. She said the evidence she has examined over the years leaves no room for a different conclusion and criticized the decision of the Pavia prosecutor to reopen the case, stating, “I do not see any elements that could change the direction of the investigation.”

Bruzzone emphasized that her analysis of the case files remains unchanged, adding that she has never wavered in her judgment and does not intend to alter her position despite public debate.

The comments have revived discussion about the cold case, which has been a focal point of Italian true‑crime media for over a decade.
