Roberta Bruzzone raises doubts in Andrea Sempio investigation

Criminologist and forensic psychologist Roberta Bruzzone has expressed ongoing doubts regarding the investigation into Andrea Sempio, revisiting discussions surrounding the Garlasco case. Bruzzone highlighted irregularities in the procedural phase of the investigation, specifically noting that the prosecution continued to strengthen the accusatory framework even after the notification of the conclusion of preliminary investigations (art. 415-bis of the criminal procedure code).

Central to the debate is a genetic profile established through a forensic examination by Dr. Albani. Bruzzone noted that because this was conducted as a formal evidentiary incident, the findings are considered decisive and technically difficult to challenge. Additionally, the timing and placement of the DNA evidence remain points of contention, as the DNA cannot be definitively dated to the period of the crime.
