Roberta Roma discharged from Salvador hospital after coronary vasospasm
Brazilian Federal Deputy Roberta Roma was discharged from the Hospital Cárdio Pulmonar in Salvador on Tuesday after a five-day hospitalization. Her medical team reported a satisfactory clinical evolution with no new episodes of chest pain.
Roma was admitted on October 15 after experiencing chest pains for the second time in less than a month. Doctors diagnosed her with coronary vasospasm, a condition involving the temporary contraction of the heart's arteries. Following medical monitoring and drug treatment, she was cleared for discharge with instructions for outpatient follow-up, rest, and lifestyle adjustments.
This follows a previous hospitalization in late September, during which doctors identified coronary artery disease and successfully implanted a stent. Recent tests confirmed that the stent is functioning correctly and ruled out a new heart attack.
