Roberto Bolis's lost 1950s tenor recordings rediscovered
A long-lost vinyl record belonging to Roberto Bolis, a tenor from Airuno, has been rediscovered by his family. Bolis, who worked as a banker and sang in the choir of Teatro alla Scala, recorded two classic Italian songs, “Signora fortuna” and “Violino tzigano,” during the 1950s.
The recordings, which feature traditional repertoire from the 1930s, have been recovered and published online, preserving the musical legacy of a man who was also a founding member of the Airuno Pro Loco.
