Roberto Carlos reveals loss of 99% of career earnings

Former Brazilian football star Roberto Carlos revealed that he lost 99% of the fortune accumulated during his professional career. Speaking at the Portugal Football Summit, the 53-year-old former Real Madrid and Brazil defender stated that his wealth, which reportedly reached approximately 160 million euros, was lost due to issues with agents and family matters.

Carlos described the situation as being left with nothing due to people he trusted, including agents and family members. He noted that he faced a serious conflict with a former representative and unexpected family-related legal documentation. He used the experience to advise younger players to avoid making similar mistakes.

Despite these financial setbacks, Carlos has worked to restructure his life and is currently involved in new projects, including serving as an ambassador for Real Madrid and pursuing the acquisition of the Brazilian club Inter de Limeira.
