Roberto Celano calls for improved transport to University of Salerno

Campania regional councilor Roberto Celano of Forza Italia has submitted a formal inquiry to the regional president and the transport assessor regarding public transportation deficiencies in the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese area. The request focuses on improving connections between the region and the University of Salerno's Fisciano campus.

Reports from students and commuters highlight significant issues, including overcrowded buses during peak hours. In some instances, vehicles arriving in Sarno are already at capacity, preventing new passengers from boarding and causing wait times of up to one hour. Celano has also requested an investigation into the regularity of scheduled services, specifically citing reports that a 3:00 PM service may not have been operated.

The councilor is calling for the region to analyze actual passenger data rather than relying on theoretical schedules to ensure that service frequency and capacity align with real-world demand, particularly for residents of Sarno, Sant’Egidio del Monte Albino, and other surrounding municipalities.
