Roberto Contreras criticizes Salvador Nasralla's political future

Roberto Contreras, the Mayor of San Pedro Sula and president of the Liberal Party's Central Executive Council (CCEPL), has launched sharp criticisms against political figure Salvador Nasralla. Contreras stated that Nasralla “will never be president of Honduras,” labeling him a “factory of failures” and an example of how internal division harms the party.

Contreras accused Nasralla of prioritizing personal interests and party contributions over the presidency. He warned that if attacks against him continue, he would reveal damaging information regarding Nasralla. Furthermore, Contreras expressed concern that administrative crises and internal divisions driven by personal interests—such as seeking government jobs for relatives—could prevent the Liberal Party from winning the presidency for another 20 years.
