Roberto Daprà and co‑driver Luca Guglielmetti seized the overall lead after the first day of the Rally Regione Piemonte, posting the fastest time on the Crugnola stage and finishing 1.5 seconds ahead of rival Andrea Crugnola. Slovenian Bostjan Avbelj completed the provisional podium, while other contenders struggled with new machinery or mechanical issues.

In the same event, the Ossola crew of Gabriel Di Pietro and his teammate Dresti clinched the Ciar 2‑wheel Italian championship, securing the national title with a victory on the rally’s final stage. Their win adds a historic triumph for the province of Novara in the country’s rally calendar.
