Roberto de Carvalho announces new relationship

Musician Roberto de Carvalho has announced a new relationship with businesswoman Lilibeth Monteiro de Carvalho, more than three years after the death of his wife, singer Rita Lee.

In an interview on the YouTube program ‘The Business of Life’, de Carvalho explained that the new romance does not diminish the grief or the love felt for Lee, with whom he was married for 47 years. He noted that the grieving process was long and required professional support, including psychiatrists and psychologists.

De Carvalho and Monteiro de Carvalho had previously dated in their youth and maintained a friendship over the years. The couple recently resumed their relationship following a reunion in Paris, France, in July. De Carvalho described the new phase of his life as a “great light” and a blessing, receiving support from fans on social media.
