Roberto Firmino urges Alexander Isak to remain optimistic at Liverpool
Former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has offered words of encouragement to Alexander Isak, who has struggled to replicate his previous form since joining the club. Isak moved from Newcastle United to Liverpool for a reported £125 million, but his first season was marked by physical issues and modest production, totaling only four goals in 23 appearances.
Speaking to The Athletic, Firmino advised the 26-year-old Swede to remain optimistic and relax despite the immense pressure associated with his transfer fee and the stature of the club. Firmino noted that all strikers face difficult periods and suggested that Isak's previous performances in the Premier League prove his quality.
Firmino also highlighted that the current season offers a fresh start under new manager Andoni Iraola, which could help Isak build confidence and integrate more effectively with his teammates.
