Roberto Inciocchi addresses low viewership for Rai 2 program Patù

Journalist Roberto Inciocchi has addressed the declining viewership numbers for his new Rai 2 talk show, ‘Patù – La passione delle idee’. The program, which premiered on October 7, has seen a drop in audience share, falling from 1.5% in its first episode to approximately 1.2% with 135,000 viewers in the second.

In an interview, Inciocchi described Wednesday nights as a difficult competitive period and acknowledged that initial results have not met expectations. He noted that criticisms regarding the show's direction serve as a guide for improvement. He also defended his journalistic integrity against accusations of bias.

The viewership struggles follow a similar trend for other Rai 2 programming, such as ‘Formidabile!’, which also failed to maintain significant audience shares. The network faces heavy internal competition from Rai 1 and Rai 3 programs scheduled during the same time slots.
