Roberto Megías, prominent Argentine actor and director, dies

Argentine actor, director, and teacher Roberto Megías has passed away at the age of 82. Born on September 22, 1943, he died on August 24, 2026.

Megías had a long career spanning theatre, television, and film. He was a member of the Asociación Argentina de Actores y Actrices since 1976 and studied under Augusto Fernandes between 1968 and 1973. His stage credits include notable works such as ‘Historia tendenciosa de la clase media argentina’ and ‘El testamento de Leonardo’ at the Teatro Nacional Cervantes.

In television, he appeared in the series ‘Quinto mandamiento’ and the special ‘200 años’ on Televisión Pública. His film work includes a role in the 2005 movie ‘La vida por Perón’.
