Roberto Pereyra seeks return to Italy after leaving AEK Athens

Argentine midfielder Roberto ‘Tucu’ Pereyra is currently a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with AEK Athens in Greece. After winning a championship with the Greek side, the 35-year-old is seeking a new club and has expressed a strong desire to return to Italian football.

Pereyra has significant experience in Serie A, having played extensively for Udinese and Juventus. During his time at Juventus, he contributed to a period of domestic dominance, including a double Scudetto and Coppa Italia win. His career also includes a stint at Watford in England and appearances for the Argentina national team under both Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino and Lionel Scaloni.

While he has reportedly received offers from clubs in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, his preference is to return to Italy. Potential suitors include Monza, Frosinone, and Palermo.
