Roberto Vannacci challenges Italian center-right coalition

Political tensions are rising within Italy's center-right coalition following Roberto Vannacci's departure from the Lega party to form his own political movement, Futuro Nazionale. Vannacci has recently used social media to critique the current government, claiming his new party's ideas, such as eliminating the car tax and setting limits on foreign students in classrooms, were already part of their program. This move has reportedly caused friction with Lega leader Matteo Salvini and has raised questions about future electoral alliances.

Simultaneously, the debate over school demographics has intensified. Following a letter from Prato Mayor Matteo Biffoni to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni regarding the potential introduction of legal caps on the number of foreign students per class, Fratelli d'Italia has responded. The party argued that the situation in Prato, characterized by high dropout rates and social isolation due to high concentrations of non-Italian speaking students, should not be treated as the national norm, while also criticizing local left-wing policies for facilitating uncontrolled migration.
