Roberto Vannacci faces counter-protests in Genoa ahead of rally

Roberto Vannacci, leader of Futuro Nazionale, is scheduled to hold a political rally in Genoa on Sunday, October 4. The event is set for 3:30 PM in Piazza Rossetti, near the Salone Nautico. In response, the group Genova Antifascista has organized a counter-demonstration at Piazzale Kennedy starting at 2:30 PM, describing the rally as a ‘fascist parade’.

This follows a similar incident in July where Vannacci’s meeting had to be relocated due to anti-fascist protests. During previous appearances, Vannacci has focused on themes of security, migration, and self-defense.

In a separate appearance on October 2 in Marina di Pietrasanta, Vannacci addressed supporters regarding the current electoral law. He criticized the use of blocked lists, arguing that they undermine representative democracy by allowing party secretariats to appoint representatives rather than allowing the people to choose them. He stated, ‘The more they discredit us, the more people are convinced to stand with us.’
