Roberto Vannacci lawyers seek compensation over social media insult

Lawyers representing Roberto Vannacci, a leader of the Futuro Nazionale party, have issued a request for compensation and a formal apology to a 50-year-old woman from Riccione. The legal action follows a Facebook comment in which the woman used a vulgar epithet to criticize Vannacci’s intelligence on one of his videos.

The legal team demanded the removal of the comment, citing damage to Vannacci’s reputation and honor, and requested a specific sum of money to settle the matter out of court. The woman, represented by attorney Stefano Caroli, has declined the request. She argues that the term used has lost its offensive connotation due to the general decline in linguistic standards and does not warrant criminal or civil proceedings.

Despite the refusal, Vannacci’s legal representatives may still proceed with a formal complaint for aggravated defamation via social media.
