Roberto Vannacci opposes granting Italian citizenship to migrants

Roberto Vannacci, leader of Futuro Nazionale, has expressed opposition to granting Italian citizenship to migrants, arguing that labor is a temporary service exchanged for a salary rather than a path to citizenship.

Speaking at the Ambrosetti Forum in Milan, Vannacci stated that migrants should be granted only temporary permits and should return to their countries of origin once their work is complete. He claimed that the presence of a large number of immigrants, particularly those working illegally, creates an ‘industrial reserve army’ that drives down wages and erodes workers' rights.

Vannacci noted that these views are gaining traction across Europe, citing the AfD party in Germany, which is polling at over 40% ahead of elections in Saxony.
