Roberto Vannacci rejects potential ministerial roles in interview with Fabrizio Corona

In a recent interview on the YouTube program ‘Falsissimo’, former general and Futuro Nazionale leader Roberto Vannacci spoke with Fabrizio Corona regarding his political stance and future ambitions.

Vannacci stated that he has no desire to hold high-ranking government positions, such as Minister of the Interior or Minister of Defense, even if offered by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He noted that while his book provided some financial stability and visibility, his primary focus remains on his family rather than political office. He characterized his approach as distinct from Meloni’s, emphasizing his commitment to his personal convictions.

The interview also featured Vannacci’s critiques of various Italian political figures and personalities. He described Giorgia Meloni as ‘charismatic’ but noted a change in her attitude. He also commented on other leaders, calling Giuseppe Conte ‘cunning’ and Elly Schlein ‘inadequate.’ Additionally, he addressed the Berlusconi family, labeling Marina Berlusconi an ‘usurper’ regarding her political role.

Corona, who previously launched the ‘Per la verità’ movement but is barred from public office due to a 2013 extortion conviction, described the meeting as an attempt to explore potential communication alliances, noting that he initially approached the encounter to conduct an investigation into the former general.
