Futuro Nazionale led by Roberto Vannacci tops Lega in latest poll

A YouTrend poll for Sky TG24 shows Futuro Nazionale, the party of former general Roberto Vannacci, at 5.9 % support, narrowly ahead of Matteo Salvini’s Lega, which recorded 5.8 %. Vannacci hailed the result as “according to plan” and warned that his movement will continue to grow, citing a backlash against traditional parties and promising to restore “sovereignty” for Italy.

Salvini dismissed Vannacci’s rise, saying he is not interested in the former general’s political trajectory and stressing the Lega’s focus on northern issues. At a provincial Lega gathering in Caronno Varesino, regional leaders reiterated a “more North” agenda, urging autonomy, fiscal federalism and higher wages, while also warning that Vannacci’s message should not be followed. Journalist Michele Serra criticized Vannacci’s rhetoric, prompting a heated social‑media exchange between the two.

The developments occur ahead of internal Lega primaries and the 2027 municipal elections, suggesting a potential re‑shaping of the Italian right‑hand political landscape.
