Roberto Vannacci's TikTok Surge Meets Sharp Drop in Online Reputation

Italian political leader Roberto Vannacci, head of Futuro Nazionale, amassed more than 86 million TikTok views, 8.3 million likes, 213 thousand comments and roughly 1.2 million shares between May and July 2026, with over 152 thousand pieces of online content published in the same period.

A Reputation Manager political observatory found that despite the massive visibility, the overall sentiment toward Vannacci turned strongly negative, reaching 63.2 % negative versus 21 % neutral. The reputational decline began in June after public attacks by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and was amplified by controversies including Vannacci’s remarks on femicide, his support for Gianni Alemanno following a release, an assault by a movement militant on an Iraqi citizen, and a provocative AI‑generated video portraying Vannacci as a Roman emperor.

The study describes the “Vannacci brand” as highly polarized: while it can mobilise a core base, a significant portion of the public perceives it as divisive.
