Robin Gosens joins Schalke 04 on loan with optional purchase

German international Robin Gosens, 32, has moved to Bundesliga‑promoted Schalke 04 on an initial one‑year loan from Serie A side Fiorentina. The deal includes a purchase option worth about €1.5 million that will become obligatory if Schalke retain its top‑flight status and Goses makes a set number of league appearances. Gosens, who earned 24 caps for Germany and previously played for Atalanta, Inter Milan and Fiorentina, said he feels a "Gefühlschaos" but is eager to lead by example at his childhood club.
