Hugh Jackman's 'The Death of Robin Hood' darkens the legend

Michael Sarnoski’s new film "The Death of Robin Hood" starring Hugh Jackman premieres on 3 July 2026. The movie reimagines the medieval outlaw as a tormented, violent figure haunted by a brutal past. Jackman portrays a dying Robin who wanders 13th‑century England, while Jodie Comer plays Sister Brigid, a caretaker inspired by Hildegard von Bingen. Bill Skarsgård appears as a grim Little John and the cast also includes Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe.

Produced by A24 and shot for an international audience, the film is slated for release in Italy on 12 August 2026 and in other territories later in the summer.
