Robin Padilla tops 2028 Philippine Senate preference poll

A July 4‑11 Octa Research survey of 1,200 Filipino voters asked who they would support if the 2028 senatorial election were held today. Senator Robin Padilla received the highest backing, with 53.9% of respondents naming him as their choice. He was followed by Senator Raffy Tulfo (47.4%), Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano (45.5%) and former Senator Grace Poe (44.5%). Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto placed fifth with 42.0% support, while other candidates such as Senator Loren Legarda, former boxer‑senator Manny Pacquiao and Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte rounded out the top‑12.

Octa clarified that the poll reflects hypothetical preferences, not a forecast of actual future election results. The findings come amid ongoing political activity ahead of the next national elections in the Philippines.
