Robin Roefs extends Sunderland contract until 2031
Sunderland AFC has announced that 23-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Robin Roefs has signed a contract extension that runs until mid-2031.
Roefs joined the Premier League club from NEC last year for a fee of up to fifteen million euros. Following a successful debut season in which he recorded ten clean sheets in 35 matches and was named the club’s best young player of the season, the goalkeeper has committed his long-term future to the team.
Sporting director Florent Ghisolfi expressed satisfaction with the deal, noting Roefs is a vital component of the club’s future. Roefs stated that the club feels like home and expressed his desire to contribute to its continued growth.
