On July 21, the day Robin Williams would have turned 75, his son Zak Williams posted a heartfelt tribute on social media, remembering his father's "weirdness and extraordinary capacity to love" and urging fans to "do something kind" in his memory. Zak highlighted his father's lifelong wish to lessen human and animal suffering and asked people to spread laughter and goodwill.

At the same time, Williams' daughter Zelda publicly condemned the circulation of AI‑generated videos that mimic Robin Williams. She described the clips as "gross" and "over‑processed hotdogs" made from a person's life, insisting they disrespect what her father stood for. Zelda urged fans to stop sending and sharing such deepfakes, criticizing the hype around AI as a misuse of artistic legacy.

Robin Williams, the Oscar‑winning actor known for roles such as Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Will Hunting, died in August 2014 after struggling with Lewy body dementia.
