Former footballer Robson de Souza, known as Robinho, is serving a nine-year prison sentence in Brazil following a conviction for collective rape in Italy. He is currently held in the closed regime at the Centro de Ressocialização de Limeira in São Paulo.
Robinho has received a reduction of 301 days from his sentence due to participation in various rehabilitation activities. According to the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (SAP), he has engaged in labor-therapeutic activities in prison workshops and completed a professional course in ceramic tile installation offered by Senai.
Additionally, the former athlete has participated in a reading club in partnership with the Fundação Professor Doutor Manoel Pedro Pimentel (Funap). His reading list, which contributed to his sentence reduction, included works such as ‘Tristão e Isolda’, ‘Capitães da Areia’, and ‘A Invenção de Hugo Cabret’.
