Robinhood Chain TVL nears $1 billion amid memecoin and stock token surge

Robinhood Chain has seen its Total Value Locked (TVL) surge toward $1 billion within just over a month of its launch. While the network was originally designed as compliant infrastructure for real-world assets (RWA) and tokenized stocks, market activity has been driven largely by a combination of memecoins, major crypto assets, and tokenized equities.

Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev noted that developers are creating liquidity pools that pair memecoins with tokenized stocks, a development not initially envisioned by the company. This creates a unique trading environment where speculative community tokens and traditional financial instruments exist within the same decentralized ecosystem. This trend has led to the rapid growth of token launch platforms on the chain.

Despite market rumors regarding the Trump family issuing tokens on the network, Eric Trump has publicly denied these claims, labeling them as “fraud.” Looking ahead, Tenev expressed a long-term vision to increase the proportion of American households holding stocks to over 95%, viewing stock tokenization as a primary tool to make high-quality US equities more accessible to a global audience via blockchain technology.
