Robinhood HOOD Stock Drops After AI Trading Launch and Insider Sales

Robinhood Markets Inc. announced the rollout of its AI‑driven Agentic Trading platform, allowing customers to connect AI agents that can research, trade and rebalance portfolios. The news pushed HOOD shares briefly above the $100 level before the stock slipped in after‑hours trading.

Regulatory filings disclosed that CFO Shiv Verma sold shares worth $393,778 and co‑founder Baiju Bhatt sold approximately $5.19 million in shares through a trust. The insider transactions, combined with the AI product launch, contributed to a decline in the stock, which has fallen about 15% year‑to‑date despite earlier positive catalysts.
