Robinhood launches AI agents for crypto trading and AI broker Monvera on its Chain

Robinhood announced that U.S. customers will be able to connect third‑party artificial‑intelligence agents—such as those from Anthropic, OpenAI and Grok—to trade cryptocurrencies on its platform. The service builds on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that previously supported a beta of more than 70,000 accounts for stock and options trading. Users can set strategy parameters, spending limits and execution conditions, while retaining ultimate responsibility for each order. Robinhood warned that AI agents may misinterpret instructions or act on outdated data, especially in the 24‑hour, volatile crypto market.

On July 14, Robinhood Chain saw the launch of Monvera, an AI‑powered broker that enables trading of about 95 token‑ized equities. Monvera operates with gas‑less transactions and introduces its own MONVERA token, capped at 1 billion units, of which 69.3 % is claimable immediately by early participants. The platform integrates Virtuals Protocol’s AI infrastructure, allowing users to manage entire tokenized portfolios with a single click. Both initiatives reflect Robinhood’s broader push to combine AI, blockchain and retail finance services.
