Robinhood negotiates partnership with Crypto.com to expand prediction markets
Robinhood is in advanced talks with Crypto.com to integrate the latter’s event‑contract products into its retail trading platform. The collaboration would add Crypto.com’s yes‑or‑no contracts on outcomes such as economic data releases, political events and sports to Robinhood’s existing prediction‑market lineup, which already includes offerings from Kalshi, ForecastEx and Rotella.
The move aims to diversify Robinhood’s contract sources, lessen reliance on regulated intermediaries, and speed the rollout of new markets to its large US user base. Analysts estimate the prediction‑market segment could generate up to $1.7 billion in revenue for Robinhood by 2028, with the overall market projected to reach $1 trillion by 2030. However, the sector faces regulatory friction between the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and state gambling authorities, posing compliance risks.
Crypto.com, which launched its own standalone prediction‑market platform “OG” in early 2026 and previously partnered with Trump Media, sees the tie‑up as a way to broaden distribution across major retail apps.
