Robinson Monteiro lives a private life focused on gospel music
Robinson Monteiro, known nationally in Brazil as ‘Anjinho’ for his 17-week winning streak on the ‘Programa Raul Gil’ in the early 2000s, has transitioned to a more private life. After achieving massive commercial success with his debut album, which sold over 1.5 million copies, the singer moved away from mainstream media attention.
Now 50 years old, Monteiro has shifted his musical focus to the gospel genre and works as a vocal technique instructor. He has also navigated significant health challenges, including a near-death experience in 2022 caused by the improper use of weight-loss medication that led to severe potassium loss.
In his personal life, Monteiro has been married to Gisele Monteiro since 2003, and the couple has four children. While living away from the spotlight, he has made brief appearances on television, such as on SBT’s ‘Programa Silvio Santos’.
