Robinson Reserve joins Florida’s Great Birding Trail

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has officially added Robinson Reserve to the state’s Great Birding Trail. This designation establishes the Bradenton-based site as a recognized destination within the public network of birdwatching locations.

The reserve hosts various species, including white pelicans, roseate spoonbills, horned owls, and bald eagles. To maintain its status within the FWC network, the site must provide adequate wildlife observation conditions, visitor management infrastructure, and ecosystem protection programs.

Robinson Reserve joins other conservation areas in the Tampa Bay region, such as Little Manatee River State Park and Hillsborough River State Park. Access to the reserve and its parking facilities are free, and the park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
