Roblox and Arm announce key updates in AI development and XR technology

Roblox has announced an update to its Studio MCP Server, enabling the connection of AI agents to the Roblox Studio development environment. By supporting the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the update allows for more reliable interaction with multiple AI agents, moving from single-instance specification to a method that passes target IDs during tool calls. This enhancement aims to automate and streamline game development workflows.

Arm, a subsidiary of SoftBank, has secured a patent in the United States for technology designed to reduce XR motion sickness. The method uses low-intensity focused ultrasound to stimulate the vestibular system in the inner ear, compensating for the sensory mismatch between visual movement and physical sensation. The technology also includes software-based approaches like vignette processing to mitigate discomfort during extended virtual reality use.

In other developments, IZUTSUYA released a beta version of its 3DGS Mesh Converter, a web service that converts 3D Gaussian Splatting data into polygon meshes via the cloud. Additionally, Rock Garage announced that its 3rd-EYE field command support system now integrates with domestic drones, allowing AI-analyzed footage to be shared in real-time with smart glasses and tablets.
