Roblox cuts revenue outlook as safety controls weigh on growth

Roblox said it has cut its revenue guidance for the year as it expands safety controls across its platform, a move the company says weighs on growth. The update comes as the company reports mixed results that emphasize user dynamics alongside a tighter safety regime.

Roblox reported global daily active users of 132 million, down from 144 million at the end of last year and from 152 million in Q3 2025. In the United States and Canada, DAUs fell by about one million quarter over quarter, even as revenue rose to around $1.4 billion. Roblox attributed part of the headwinds to its safety initiatives and other factors impacting user engagement as it implements age-check features.

The company highlighted that Q1 growth was tempered by greater-than-expected headwinds tied to the rollout of its age-check measures, stating the effects on growth were significant enough to influence the quarterly results. Roblox emphasized that the safety-focused changes are central to its long-term platform strategy, even as revenues continue to rise in the current quarter.
