Robo. ai and Robbyant expand AI and robotics footprint in Middle East
Robo. ai has announced the groundbreaking of Phase I for the ALIF Holding Group Industrial Park in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. The first phase will cover approximately 8,845 square meters and involve refurbishing existing factory premises to support local manufacturing and industrial projects.
Marine Security Project, through the proposed subsidiary Alif Maritec, is expected to be the first tenant. This project will focus on marine security and intelligent maritime infrastructure, including systems for marine oil spill emergency response, detection, and containment.
In a separate development, Robbyant, an embodied AI company under Ant Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy (AFDE). The partnership aims to accelerate the deployment, localization, and commercialization of embodied AI and robotic solutions across the UAE, the GCC, and the wider Middle East. The collaboration will focus on regional deployment, industry-specific pilots in sectors like logistics and healthcare, and the localization of AI for Arabic-language interaction and regional cultural requirements.
