Roborock and iRobot advance autonomous vacuum technology

Roborock and iRobot are advancing autonomous cleaning technology with new high-performance robot vacuum models.

The Roborock Qrevo S Pro features a suction power of 18,500 Pa, designed to handle fine dust and pet hair on various surfaces, including thick carpets. Its self-maintaining base automates several tasks, including emptying the dustbin into a sealed bag, washing the mops with high-temperature water, and drying them with hot air.

iRobot has introduced two distinct approaches to cleaning. The Roomba Max 875 Combo serves as a high-end single unit, while the Roomba Duo is a prototype system consisting of two robots working in tandem. In the Duo system, a primary unit carries an ultra-thin secondary robot—only 8.35 centimeters high—to clean under low furniture like beds and sofas. The primary unit utilizes a PowerSpin Max roller and steam to tackle heavy dirt, while both units share a common base for charging and maintenance.
