Roborock unveils RockAqua robotic pool cleaner series
Roborock has introduced its first robotic pool cleaner, the RockAqua series, marking an expansion into a new product category. The devices are designed to clean pool floors, walls, waterlines, and shallow platforms, including irregular pool shapes.
The RockAqua models feature vision-based obstacle avoidance to identify drain covers and steps, alongside sensor-based cleaning that prioritizes heavily soiled areas. The hardware includes high suction capabilities, dual-layer filtration, and a debris basket to capture fine particles and leaves. The robots are designed for easy retrieval by surfacing at the waterline once the cleaning cycle is complete.
The RockAqua P1 is scheduled to launch in Australia and New Zealand starting in January 2027, with specific pricing and exact dates yet to be confirmed. Other recent Roborock developments include the Saros vacuum series and the RockNeo Q2 LiDAR robotic lawn mower.
