Robot Dog and Llamas Draw Crowds at Expoacre 2026 in Brazil

At the entrance of Expoacre 2026 in Acre, Brazil, a walking robot dog named Bob captured the attention of visitors on the night of 7 October. The 80‑thousand‑real‑reais (about US$15,000) device can operate autonomously but was remotely controlled for safety amid the large crowd. Miguel, who oversees the robot’s operation, said the remote control ensures greater safety for the public.

Nearby, a group of exotic Andean animals – llamas, alpacas, mini‑ponies, mini‑vacas, goats and sheep – were displayed. The herd was brought in a trailer by Antonio, a Venezuelan resident of Alvorada do Oeste, who clarified that only the llamas spit, not the alpacas. The animals originate from Peru and the Andean region, sparking fascination among first‑time visitors such as Luana and Tainara, who expressed delight at seeing the unusual creatures.

The exhibition combined technology and wildlife, offering families an interactive experience that highlighted both innovative robotics and the biodiversity of South America.
