Robot Lawn Mowers Grow in Popularity as Stihl, Husqvarna and Anthbot Release New Models
Leading garden‑automation brands Stihl and Husqvarna are expanding their robot mower line‑up, offering devices equipped with advanced GPS navigation, obstacle‑avoidance sensors and programmable schedules. The machines promise frequent, precise cuts that keep grass denser and more disease‑resistant while freeing owners several hours each week.
The Anthbot Genie 800 introduces a different approach, using artificial‑intelligence, RTK‑grade GPS and four onboard cameras to map a garden in about ten minutes, eliminating the traditional perimeter‑wire setup. Testers noted the system's speed and ease of installation, while also pointing out areas for further improvement.
Both offerings reflect a broader trend toward fully autonomous lawn care, aiming to reduce manual effort and improve lawn health across residential gardens.
