Robot vacuum technology sees flagship and budget advancements

The robot vacuum market features new developments in both high-end flagship models and budget-friendly alternatives.

iRobot has introduced the Roomba Max 875 Combo, which utilizes proprietary SealForce suction technology. This system uses a chassis-mounted skirt to seal against carpet fibers, directing airflow specifically to where dirt is located. The device features a suction power of 35,000 Pascal and a 20-liter-per-second airflow to improve deep carpet cleaning and prevent side-leakage of air.

In the budget segment, the Vonko S6 Pro offers a more affordable option with features typically found in premium brands like Roborock or Dreame. The S6 Pro includes 8,000 Pa suction power, a V-shaped main brush designed to prevent hair tangles, and LiDAR 2.0 navigation for 360-degree mapping. It also features simultaneous vacuuming and mopping capabilities with adjustable water levels and an automated dust extraction station.
