Robotic dog deployed in LaGuardia Airport Terminal B pilot

ABM Industries launched a robotics pilot at New York’s LaGuardia Airport Terminal B in partnership with terminal operator LaGuardia Gateway Partners. The program introduces three autonomous platforms: a quadruped inspection robot (a “robotic dog”), autonomous floor‑scrubbing units and autonomous vacuum units, all using 3D LiDAR navigation and AI‑driven mapping.

The robots are intended to support the human workforce, improving safety, cleaning efficiency and the overall passenger experience. “Airports are among the most dynamic environments in the world, and Terminal B is the perfect stage to demonstrate how robotics, AI, and data integration can transform facility operations,” said Sean Bromfield, ABM’s president of aviation.
