Roboticists from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina achieve competition success
Young roboticists from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have achieved notable success in regional and international robotics competitions.
In Croatia, students Bartol Bićanić, Domagoj Majher, and Lovro Rukavina from Andrijaševci secured a spot in the World Robot Olympiad finals in Puerto Rico after winning a national competition. Their robot, named ‘Škorpion’, is designed to assist in construction tasks by moving materials like cement and blocks. The team is currently seeking 12,000 euros to cover travel and equipment costs, having raised only 2,000 euros so far.
Meanwhile, the Steel Coders Zenica team from Bosnia and Herzegovina, consisting of Robert, Dominik, and Davor, placed 13th in the junior RoboMission category at the World Robot Olympiad 2026 European Open held in Zagreb. Competing against 49 international teams, the students from the STEM Academy Zenica demonstrated advanced skills in programming and engineering under the guidance of coach Josip Kačmarčik.
