Robotics and AI sectors see new hardware and platform developments

The robotics and AI hardware sectors in China are seeing diverse developments across industrial, service, and consumer applications.

RoboSense has announced commercial progress for its new robotics components, categorized as “eyes, skin, and muscles.” These include spatial cameras for perception, tactile sensors for contact feedback, and joint modules for precise movement. The company expects these products to contribute approximately 100 million yuan in revenue by 2027.

In the field of embodied AI, Lumeng has launched NexCore, a platform designed to bridge the gap between laboratory demonstrations and real-world industrial production. The platform aims to convert complex industrial requirements into repeatable robotic skills, facilitating smoother integration into fragmented manufacturing scenarios.

For property management, the AIROBO management platform 1.0 has launched to provide unified operations for multi-brand robots. Currently being piloted by Greentown Property Service, the platform allows operators to manage various types of robots—such as cleaning and delivery units—through a single interface, standardizing data across different manufacturers.

In the consumer market, Huandong Guangnian has released the Dongdong Box, an AI-powered home fitness console. Available at Sam's Club, the device utilizes pure visual sensing and AI to track body movements, allowing users to interact with content without the need for handheld controllers or wearable peripherals.
