Robotics and underwater drone technologies featured in Japanese demonstrations

Akatsuki AI Technologies conducted a robotics demonstration at the Oarai Marine Fireworks Festival 2026 held at Oarai Sun Beach. The company showcased the humanoid robot ‘G1’ on a stage runway and utilized the ‘Go2’ quadruped robot to interact with attendees, aiming to make advanced robotics technology more accessible to the public.

Separately, the Japan Underwater Drone Association has announced its participation in CEATEC 2026 at Makuhari Messe. Within the ‘Ocean Digital Society Pavilion’, the association will exhibit ‘SeaPerch’, an international STEM education program developed by RoboNation. The exhibit focuses on the design and construction of underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) to foster the next generation of marine robotics talent.
